Horses undergoing Rehabilitation or Training

A few of the horses that are currently with Equine Management and Training
for re-training, schooling or rehabilitation.
Of course the photographs below are taken upon arrival; the horses will look somewhat
different when they leave!

This very gentle gelding arrived with a second significant tendon injury - whist still not properly healed from the first one.

Despite the severity of the injury the leg has not bowed and Danny has a temperament well able cope with the very prolonged period of box rest he will need.

This big 5 year old came over from Ireland last year and within a week was diagnosed with kissing spine.  Having had resection surgery his owner elected to turn him away to allow him time to recover from his operation.

Dexter is here for his rehab and training as a riding horse. Hopefully this will be uneventful although we are mindful that other physical issues may come to light along the way.

Another super horse from Shadwell; this one is a Sea the Stars gelding with the most wonderful temperament.  But having said that we find all these STS are lovely to work with

 "Bugs" (Elyasaat)

By Frankel
this 4 year old has a lot of maturing to do; he is like a two year old.

From Shadwell, this gelding has arrived in superb condition as indeed they always do.  And what a super temperament he has so let's hope that as he matures he stays this way rather than adopting some of his father's traits!

"Lucky" (Admiral's Choice)

By Mount Nelson this well-built gelding is the image of his father in stature.

At this stage it is impossible where he forte may lie but we are going to have some fun finding out!

What a feisty filly this little lady is!

By Lethal Force Minty is here to for pre-training.

Whilst not very big what she lacks in size she has in strengt; she is also very opinionated by in a very immature way. Hence Minty has been sent to us so that she can have plenty of time to develop not only physically but also mentally.  If she were to go into training with her current mind set she would run her races in the stable let along on the gallops before even reaching the track!

"Mushroom" (Maghroom"

Yet another very good looking gelding from Shadwell Stud.

Such a great shame this boy is unraced as we could have put him into showing homes ten times over for RoR. However he is still eligible for spme of the RoR classes - it would be a great shame not to see him strutting his stuff  in the show ring

But having said that he will do a nice dressage test and we are sure he will pop round a small SJ or XC course

 "Dixey"  (Dixon's One)

A super little 4 year old by Sir Prancealot.

A very attractive, good moving bonny little chap who will prove to be a real all-rounder giving someone a lot of fun.

What a delightful little mare this is; well Connemara's are just super and so straightforward.

Amber is here for rehab to see if we can get her and then keep her sound.  Vets have not been able to agree on what is troubling her so let's see what we can find out!

 Ex-racehorse for retraining

"Albi" (Al Nawras)

This lovely chestnut gelding, bred at Shadwell Stud was trained by Freddie Head for Sheik Hamdam al Maktoum.

Albi has a superb temperament and a lovely cheeky character.  With his strong limbs and beautiful stride we hope that in due course we will be seeing this horse in the dressage arena.

Horses that are here on behalf of "Rehoming Racehorse - A Life After Racing"

These horses have an m.o.t. and start their retraining whilst all the time being assessed for their temperament and suitability to suit certain homes and lifetstyles - and of course to pick up potential talent for taking up another sport.

Whatever your training requirements, please contact us for further information.
