THE ex-racehorse, in the right hands and with the correct training, is an extremely versatile athlete. However the ex-racehorse is not for everyone; you should go into the experience with your eyes wide open.
AS A consequence of our vast knowledge and experience of retraining racehorses we were asked to write a book on the subject; after much debate we decided to go ahead. Two year laters our book finally was in print!
- provides an in-depth look at ex-racehorse ownership and the retraining process.

YOGI BREISNER - Performance Manager to the British Eventing team
"The book is an unique complete guide which uses simple methods to illustrate a good and correct way to not only re-educate/train racehorses, but also to break in, school, train and educate any horse. The book uses commonsense and horsemanship, and has a systematic way of making sure that all angles of training and educating have been covered.
I am very impressed by the content of your book, and as it covers such a wide range of training it can be used by riders, coaches, etc., of all levels of experience. The book can either be used in its entirety or as a reminder by just looking up certain sections to refresh one's memory, as horsemen can often get stuck with a difficult or problematic horse and I feel this book can help in such situations by inspiring you to approach problems in a correct way."
TINA COOK - International 4* Event rider, long term member of the British Eventing Team and Olympic Medallist
"This is a truly inspirational book that has been written with great passion, an incredible in-depth knowledge and extensive experience of equine training. There are many years of true horsemanship and practical training tips and fabulous photographs condensed into one very unique book.
This book is a must for anyone wishing to learn and understand the mind-set of the racehorse, why he is not a machine, has so much to give and that we can never stop learning from our four legged friends. I cannot recommend this book highly enough as it is really exceptional – a truly amazing book."
